TikTok Shop Account Health Rating (AHR): Thresholds, Penalties and Recovery
On TikTok Shop US, your Account Health Rating (AHR) decides whether you can launch new products and join the big sales campaigns. Let it slip and you can lose weeks of listings right before peak season; let it hit zero and you can lose the shop. Here is how the score works, what the thresholds mean, and how to protect it.
How the Account Health Rating works
According to TikTok Shop's Seller University page on AHR requirements (updated June 29, 2026):
- AHR is a color-coded score from 0 to 1,000.
- All sellers start at 200 points.
- Points are deducted for policy violations, based on severity and frequency.
- Deductions expire automatically after 180 days.
- You can earn points back: 4 points per 200 completed orders (up to 20 points a week), or by passing policy quizzes.
AdBeacon reports that AHR fully replaced the older violation-points system in July 2026, and that the 180-day window means a violation affects your account for twice as long as under the old 90-day reset.
What happens at each threshold
When your score drops to certain levels, TikTok Shop restricts your account:
| AHR score | Restriction (per TikTok Shop) |
|---|---|
| 150 | Cannot enroll in mega campaigns or create new listings for 7 days |
| 100 | Same restrictions for 14 days |
| 50 | Same restrictions for 28 days |
| 0 | Account may be permanently deactivated |
Because every seller starts at 200, a single serious violation can take you to the first threshold. Losing mega-campaign access in October or November can mean missing Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions entirely.
Common causes of point deductions
TikTok Shop deducts points for violations of its policies. In practice, sellers most often run into trouble with:
- Fulfillment: late dispatch, seller-fault cancellations, invalid tracking.
- Listings: restricted or prohibited products, misleading titles or images, missing certifications.
- Content and claims: exaggerated or medical claims by you or your creators.
- Intellectual property: selling or showing products that infringe trademarks or copyrights.
- Customer service: slow responses, steering buyers off-platform.
The exact deduction for each violation is set by TikTok Shop and shown in Seller Center; check the enforcement policy there for current values.
A worked example: how fast can you recover?
Using TikTok Shop's published recovery rule of 4 points per 200 completed orders, capped at 20 points a week:
- A shop completing 400 orders a week earns 8 points a week from orders.
- A shop completing 1,000 or more orders a week reaches the 20-point weekly cap.
- A shop completing fewer than 200 orders a week earns nothing from orders that week, so quizzes and the 180-day expiry matter most.
Calculation: weekly orders ÷ 200 × 4, up to a maximum of 20. Smaller shops recover slowly, which is why preventing violations is far cheaper than fixing them.
How to protect and rebuild your score
- Check AHR weekly in Seller Center, and read every violation notice the day it arrives.
- Appeal quickly when a violation is wrong, with clear evidence (invoices, authorization letters, test reports).
- Take the policy quizzes. They are one of the two official ways to earn points back.
- Keep orders flowing. Every 200 completed orders earns 4 points, up to 20 a week, so steady, clean volume rebuilds the score.
- Set realistic handling times and use carriers with reliable tracking, especially before peak.
- Brief your creators in writing on what claims they may and may not make about your product.
- Audit listings before launch for restricted keywords, certifications and image rules.
Tip: Treat 150 as your floor, not 0. Plan big launches and campaign enrollment only when your score has a comfortable buffer above the first threshold.
Peak-season checklist
- Confirm your AHR is well above 150 before campaign registration deadlines.
- Resolve open violations and appeals now, not in November.
- Stock up so you don't cancel orders for being out of stock.
- Re-check creator scripts and product claims for holiday content.
