Walmart Approves 8 More Parcel Carriers, Including UniUni and GOFO

Walmart Marketplace sellers who ship their own orders now have more carrier options. In a Marketplace release note dated October 13, 2026, Walmart added eight parcel carriers to its approved list for seller-fulfilled shipping, including regional last-mile networks such as UniUni, GOFO and SwiftX, plus DoorDash. For sellers looking to cut shipping costs before peak season, this opens new options, as long as tracking and delivery performance hold up.

What Walmart announced

According to Supply Chain Dive (Oct 19, 2026) and EcomCrew (Oct 20, 2026), citing Walmart's October 13 release note, the eight new approved parcel carriers are:

UniUniSeller-fulfilled parcel shipping

SwiftXSeller-fulfilled parcel shipping
TForce Final MileSeller-fulfilled parcel shipping
GOFOSeller-fulfilled parcel shipping

USPS, FedEx and UPS remain Walmart's top preferred carriers. All eight now appear on Walmart's approved parcel carrier list, which includes more than 50 carriers in total.

The rules that come with it

  • Tracking must validate. Walmart's carrier guide says valid tracking must be provided for more than 99% of Marketplace orders under its Seller Performance Standards.
  • Non-approved carriers are risky. Supply Chain Dive quotes Walmart that using a non-approved carrier is not recommended because tracking cannot be validated, and may result in suppression, suspension or termination.
  • Approval isn't protection. EcomCrew notes that a carrier being approved does not mean labels bought through your own carrier account qualify for Walmart's label protection programs; check each program's terms.
  • WFS is unaffected. The change applies to seller-fulfilled orders, not Walmart Fulfillment Services.

Why Walmart is doing this

Walmart's marketplace is growing fast. Supply Chain Dive reports that marketplace net sales rose more than 50% in the second quarter, that e-commerce is now over 23% of Walmart's US business mix (double its level five years ago, per CFO John David Rainey), and that nearly 50% of marketplace business flowed through WFS in Q2. More approved carriers give the other half, seller-fulfilled orders, more ways to ship affordably.

Which orders suit a regional carrier?

Regional and last-mile carriers usually make the most sense for small, light parcels going to large metro areas they serve directly, where national carriers charge residential and delivery-area surcharges. Heavier boxes, rural addresses and shipments that need guaranteed delivery dates are usually better kept with USPS, UPS or FedEx. Map your order history by ZIP code and weight before deciding.

What it means for sellers (our analysis)

Regional carriers can lower costs. For lightweight parcels into dense metro areas, regional last-mile carriers often price below national carriers. Now they can be used on Walmart orders without breaking the approved-carrier rule.

Test before you switch everything. EcomCrew's worked example makes the point: saving $1 per label on 2,000 shipments is $2,000, but if extra losses and pickup costs reach $1,700, the real saving is only $300. Compare total cost and delivery outcomes, not just label prices.

Protect your metrics. Walmart's on-time delivery and valid tracking thresholds still apply. Check that your shipping software maps each new carrier correctly so tracking numbers validate. Our Walmart Seller Performance Standards guide lists every threshold.

Coverage varies. Regional carriers serve some ZIP codes, not all. Use rules that route only covered ZIPs and fall back to USPS, UPS or FedEx elsewhere.

Checklist

  1. Confirm your shipping software lists the new carriers for Walmart orders.
  2. Pick one regional carrier and test it on a limited set of ZIP codes.
  3. Track on-time delivery, valid tracking and lost-package rates against your current carrier.
  4. Check whether your labels qualify for any Walmart protection program.
  5. Expand only when total cost per delivered order is lower.
